Invasion of the Digital Humanities – or why this might be a useful thing for your museum
Shawn Graham, Carleton University
Shawn Graham is a digital archaeologist interested in methods, teaching and generative art and games. He is currently Associate Professor of Digital Humanities in the Department of History at Carleton University, and also a Carleton University Provost’s Teaching Fellow. His major research project at the moment, ‘The Bone Trade’, uses computer vision to map out the visual
tropes, social networks, and cultural impact of the buying and selling of human remains over social media. He is founder and editor of the open access journal, Epoiesen: A Journal for Creative Engagement in History and Archaeology. He is also the lead author on a collaborative open access textbook with live computational environment for the teaching of digital archaeology, o-date.github.io.
